Welcome

I absolutely love what I do! Being a photographer means that I get to join you during the most special times in your life and capture your memories. Being there to witness two people join their lives as one or to see a newborn baby make their way into the world is simply amazing. Everytime I am asked to be a part of these memorable occaisions I am completely honored.

The blog allows me to share the most recent sessions with you and keep you up-to-date on the latest happenings and a little of what goes on behind the scenes. I hope that through reading my blog, you will see how much I enjoy the realtionships that are built with each person and telling your stories!

Jamie

Just a reminder

Our office will be closed for the 4th of July holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, July 8.

We hope you have a great weekend!

Colleen & Dustin

I met Colleen about 6 years ago and I have always thought she was a great girl! We would see each other off and on through out the years and never really knew a lot about her personal life until recently when she called me to shoot her wedding. I got to meet with her and Dustin and could tell that they were a great fit for each other. But the surprise came when I looked over their wedding agreement and read Dustin’s last name. Hmmm… it was eerily familiar… my maiden name in fact. So I started doing a little digging and found out that Dustin is one of my cousins. Don’t even asked me 3rd, 4th or how many times removed, but his great-grandfather and my grandfather were brothers. (And we won’t even start on all the other connections to people that I had at this wedding!) So… I guess you are already getting to meet more of my family!

The girls looked beautiful! I loved the brown & pink colors.

It was great that we had a fairly overcast day because this hill over looking the airport in Sevierville was a great spot for the group pics. We even had a view of the mountains from where we were.

img_7592.jpg

The guys were looking very handsome, too! I like that they chose the brown tuxes instead of black.

Colleen looks very hapy as she sees her groom for the first time as her father walks her down the aisle.

I love vintage cars! The red mustang was as great getaway vehicle.

It was really great getting to go downtown after the ceremony for some cool shots. Colleen made sure to plan her time accordingly allowing us to have thie time together. When the formals list is short or we can get them all done before the ceremony it really allows us more artistic time.

GOOD NIGHT!

Richie, Emily & Lola

In keeping with the Atlanta theme…. while I was there for Eric & Stacy’s wedding, I also had a session with Richie, Emily & Lola as well as an engagement session with Candace & Major (their post is coming up soon!) Both sessions took place at Piedmont Park… apparently a very popular place for pics!

Anyway… let me break this one down for you… So Richie is my 2nd cousin, Emily is his fiance (and the sister of Aileen - I went to school with her & her husband) and Lola is their little girl (I guess that makes her my 3rd cousin) who is 1 year old today! Have I confused you yet?

Well, you can check back in September for their wedding pics and you  will probably meet more of my family then!

Ok… so on with the pics….

Happy Birthday, Lola!

Stacy & Eric

Earlier this month I was in Atlanta for the 6-7-08 wedding of Stacy & Eric at Crawford Hall. It was a really great place for a wedding. The old house was beautiful and there were nice bug shade trees to keep us from roasting in the sun! It was a really great wedding and all of their friends and family were so nice. Here are a few of my favorites from the day…

How many bridesmaids does it take to button a dress?

img_7773.jpg

I totally think Stacy looks like Jodi Foster in this shot! She has some incredible blue eyes.

img_7960.jpg

img_7990.jpg

Their daughter Amber was the flower girl and she was showin’ off for the camera all day!

I am not sure what this place used to be, but it was out behind the house and I thought it looked really cool.

I love this shot of Stacy having fun at the reception! There is nothing better than seeing the bride & groom enjoy their wedding day to it’s fullest.

img_8737.jpg

I guess I will have to pull out another shot to really show you the car, but they left in a 1957 Bentley. Talk about style!

Stacy & Eric - I loved spending the day with you. Your wedding was beautiful and I hope that you and your family have many happy & healthy years!

In case you are wondering…

Yes! I am on an editing marathon….

I will be leaving to go on vacation Sunday and I am working on cranking out as many sessions, weddings and blog posts as possible before then. The office will be open on Tuesday & Wednesday next week and then we will close for the 4th of July holiday and reopen on Tuesday, July 8th.

We hope that you have a safe & happy holiday, too!

Bouncing Baby Boy Brody

(now say that 5 times fast…)

Meet Brody. At 3 months old, he is a very happy guy! He kind of intrigued me thouhg because he was happier laying by himself than being held by mom and dad… which is totally opposite than what most of the babies do when I show up. And the poor baby wan’t feeling 100% either, but none the less… he still gave us some great giggles!

Ok, so this is kind of like seek & find… How many people can you find in this picture?

Welcome Baby Lauren

So it was a little bit of a drive for me to visit Baby Lauren, but well worth the trouble! She is an adorable little girl with such sweet parents… I felt right at home with them.

Their home was decorated in nice bright colors and there was wonderful light coming in through the living room window… that is where I captured this shot of Lauren & her mommy.

Lauren - You are a beautiful gift from God and I am looking forward to spending more time with you soon! ~ Jamie

Heidi & John

It has been several weeks now but I had a great session downtown with Heidi & John. They will be having a great wedding in October at the Lily Barn and I am really excited about it becasue they have been so great to work with. This was one of the easiest engagement sessions becasue they were ready to go right from the start (no pulling teeth to get them to have a great time together!). So… here are some of my favorites from the day…

0042.jpg

Whoever made this orange “o” structure sure has created a great little picture spot. I think i have used it 4 or 5 times already and I have seen it used by others, too! I always try to make it a little different though.

0052.jpg

I think this next images is my favortie from the session. The blue from the painting goes nicely wit hHeidi’s beautiful blue eyes! Isn’t she gorgeous! (John’s a lucky man… although he’s a nice lookin’ fella as well.)

Macy - You are so totally adorable and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching you grow up. (But watch out for your daddy… he’s the one with the crazy [but fun] portrait ideas!!) ~Jamie
