I love when my little girl is out of school and I get to spend the day with her. Since I am usually working on the weekends she gets to hang out with her Mamaw then, but any weekdays off are mine!!! These are the days that I treasure. We get to just do whatever we want and do stuff like eat at Waffle House or the Hibachi Grill, which are two of our favorite places.
So last week when she was out of school… on Tuesday we went to the Zoo, but on Monday we went over to the new Poka Dot Pottery in Maryville to play around and see what we could create. Then yesterday when she was out for Veteran’s Day we went back to Poka Dot to pick up our first creation, a little tea set for her, and to make some Christmas gifts.

Alyssa - I love you more than anything in this world and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our time together because I miss you when you are at school!

Holiday Deadlines

We must receive your order and image choice by these dates or we will not be able to guarantee delivery for Christmas!
*Photo Books do not include leather bound albums.
If you have not yet scheduled your fall session but would like to, we still have some spots available this Saturday. The mini-sessions are only $50 and 30 minutes in length for each family. This gives you the perfect opportunity to capture your family together and for creating the images to use for your holiday cards.

I had lots of fun with Jason and Faun during their engagement session and you can read the “fabulous” story here. (BTW, Jason, I am still waiting on that pic of me standing in the water!) But this time it was time for the big day! I started out with all of their friends and family for the rehearsal and continued to get to know them and Faun’s co-workers on their wedding day. There are so many fun pics from the entire experience, but I have to limit them for the blog… so here are some of my favorites from the wedding day…
The day started out at Salon Azure where Faun works. It was really cool to see her interacting with all of the people she works with everyday and they did am awesome job with all of the girl’s hair & make-up.
This little detail of the dress was really neat because the seamstress had sown a tag into it with Faun & Jason’s name and wedding date.
It’s always a little funny to me that most churches give the most cluttered, cramped rooms to wedding parties to get ready in. And usually they are the children’s rooms. Why??? Surely there has to be bigger, nicer rooms somehwere in the church!
I love Faun! Isn’t she beautiful! And soooo much fun! And Faun likes edgy… so if you notice some pumped up color in these images… that’s all part of the plan!

Two weeks in a row I had the privilege of shooting at the beautiful Bleak House in Knoxville. This time it was the wedding of Blue & Megan. Megan and the girls were soooo much fun and the guys had their share of fun, too! It was a bit sunny for the ceremony, but as we moved into the evening and reception time, we had great weather and the DJ kept everyone movin’ and groovin’.
Megan & Blue - I am so glad you guys had such a fun wedding. I truly enjoyed capturing your memories! Congratulations!!! You are a wonderful couple. ~ Jamie

Unfortunately today I have been feeling pretty yucky! I think I ended up with the little virus that’s going around. Alyssa and I both rested today, but I have ventured into the office this afternoon to take care of a few things. I also have a session tomorrow morning which will keep me out of the office most of the day, so I will be returning calls and e-mail tomorrow afternoon and on Thursday.
But I wanted to take a moment to share with you some awesome fall photos from last week with the Garrett Family. The colors were really nice and the family worked well together for some super shots. So here they are…

I had the pleasure of spending some time with the Porter’s on their farm. They were a really great family and I felt like they were old friends by the time I left. Rebecca (mom) told me that either they hadn’t had a fmily picture in a very long time or maybe she even said never!!! So I hope that these images will truly be a keepsake for them as well as the start of a new family tradition!!!
And before I left for the evening, I hopped on the four wheeler with Ray (dad) and headed out in the field to check on their newborn calf. She had been born just minutes before I showed up to shoot their session and was the second calf born that day. So at two hours old, here is mom and baby… (a totally different kind of newborn session for me. LOL!)
Ray, Rebecca & Evan - thanks for letting me hang out on the farm with you and for the memorable experiences! You guys are great and I hope we can do it again. ~ Jamie
The first time I had ever visited the Bleak House was for a meeting last year. My husband was with me and even he thought it was a really neat place for a wedding… even to the point of suggesting that we should renew our vows there and have a big party!
Well, I guess Allison & Drew had the same thought… so a couple of weeks ago, it was their big day to tie the knot! Allison & Drew were so sweet and the wedding party was lots of fun! But without further ado… here are some of my favorites…
