May was a month of wonderful weddings and one of those was the wedding of Brittney & Dane! I loved the time that I spent with them for their engagement session and I could tell that they are perfect for each other. Since we have been so busy during the past few months I have not blogged any of their engagement pics, but I will definitely have to put some of those up at some point because there was a really cool plane involved! : ) Anyway… on to the wedding…
When Brittney stepped out of the car with this bird cage veil, I was so excited! I LOVE bird cages! Brittney is only my second bride to wear one, but they are so stunning! Look how beautiful she is…

No! Your eyes are not deceiving you! Brittney had TWO wedding dresses for the special day and they were both gorgeous! I guess that the benefit of having your own bridal shop! : ) If you are looking for a wedding gown, you should definitely visit Anabelle’s Bridal in Athens, TN. Brittney’s mom Jackie will be sure to help you find your perfect dress.

Brittney & Dane - You two are so cute together! I know that you know the wedding industry and I am so honored that you chose me to be your photographer. It has been a pleasure working with you and your families.

Mark your calendars and save the date to attend the photoLIFE workshop on July 25, 2009!

photoLIFE is a workshop created to help you learn to capture unique images of your life. Whether your passion is your kids, your pets, or the great outdoors, we will explore basic photography techniques to improve your photographs.
…of a May wedding that I am finishing up editing! Stay tuned for more!

“Jeremy and Sarah met at Rhodes University in South Africa where Jeremy was a student and Sarah was studying abroad. After initially meeting at the Baptist church, Jeremy and Sarah started a tradition of having coffee every Wednesday afternoon. Through spending so much time together, they grew to be close friends. Jeremy was able to come to America for the Passion conference in January of 2007. (Passion is a Christian conference for college students). Jeremy stayed with Sarah’s family in TN where they realized that they were quite keen on each other
Jeremy went back to Zimbabwe, but that didn’t stop them from starting a relationship. Over the next two years, Sarah and Jeremy both made several trips to the other’s home country and got to know each other’s families and friends. In June of 2008, Jeremy came to America for Sarah’s college graduation and made the trip extra special by proposing! The next year was spent wedding planning and organizing for Sarah to move to Zimbabwe after the wedding. On June 6, 2009 Sarah and Jeremy tied the knot and rejoiced in the fact that there would be no more goodbyes!”

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let you know that I am out of the office this week, but will be checking e-mail and voice-mails as possible and returning those that need immediate attention.
When I get back I will have lots of great photos to chare from all of our May weddings and other sessions and I am looking forward to Sarah & Jeremy’s wedding this Saturday!
Have a great week!
See you soon!
A really cute idea to add to any kids photo shoot is a raincoat and wellies, maybe even a clear umbrella!

Last week I had the pleasure again to work with some of my favorite clients, Jeff & Jocelyn. They have been in front of my camera on several occasions, but this time for a very special one. Because it is not long before this little family of two will be a family of three.

Jeff & Jocelyn - This is such an exciting time for you guys! I pray that everything goes well and I can’t wait to meet Gabriel!

I was just thinking about how super cute hats are for childrens photos. I have also noticed how hard it is to find stores that have them. So it seems appropriate to share this since it is almost Derby time:)
Here are a few sites I found online -
www.girlygaloreboutique.com

www.childrensplace.com

www.usastyleskidsboutique.com

You can also browse through the blog for other images Jamie has created with kids in hats! So next time you schedule a session… think about bringing along your kids favorite hat.

I have actually known Brooke for a few years because she was one of Alyssa’s therapists, so I was excited when Brooke choose me to document their engagement & wedding. But a few weeks ago, I was at my cousins baby shower, when Brooke walked in. It took a little while to piece it all together, but Brook is practically family! She is my cousin’s cousin on his other side of the family. So now… I am even more excited to be a part of this special time for her. But first things first… the engagement…

Brook & Rege - You guys are so sweet together and I am looking forward to your big day! It will be here before we know it!
