Rain Date – Monday, July 11th, 2016
Brittany grew up down the street from me and went to the recreation center where I worked. She was always the sweetest little girl, and she has now grown into a beautiful young woman. I was so excited when she told me about her fiance and their upcoming February wedding and asked if I could photograph it for them.
She really found an awesome guy, and after spending some time with both of them, I literally can’t wait for their wedding day! I love capturing love and Brittany and Anthony share a special, joy-filled love that is truly inspiring. Not to mention the gorgeous fall colors 🙂
Jenna Lawson + Chris Darnbush
July 11, 2015
Jenna has dreamed about her wedding day since she was a little girl and has been anxiously awaiting this day with Chris for years now. The two of them couldn’t be more perfect for one another. They are best friends and put each other before themselves. I am so happy for the two of them and honored they allowed me to capture such an important day for them.
Their wedding took place at a relative’s gorgeous 100+ year old home in east Knoxville, TN. The house is filled with southern charm and was the PERFECT spot for Jenna and Chris’s intimate southern vintage wedding.
The two of them opted to keep it simple and not to have a wedding party, but still had a few close friends join them to hang out and get ready for the ceremony. Jenna’s best friend since childhood, Sarah Kirkland, did her make up.
Hair: Ross the Boss
Dress: The Gilded Gown
A little girl’s first love is her daddy, and Jenna wanted a special moment with hers before he gave her away to her new husband.
Then I ran across the street to spend some time with Chris. Up until this point he had been hanging in the pool with his buddies.
Good way to relax if you ask me!I knew Chris was a little nervous, so I thought it might help calm his nerves to have a minute with Jenna before the ceremony.
Don’t worry, they didn’t see each other.
Showtime! My favorite moment of the day: After they came back down the aisle as husband and wife and no one (but me) was watching, Chris grabbed her and kissed her. Pure joy and excitement. Bliss.
“I loved everything about my wedding day! I had been looking at the weather religiously for weeks and praying for no rain. The morning of the wedding had a few rain showers, but I tried not to worry. There was a light shower during the ceremony, but as soon as the guests made it under the tent, the sky opened up! I thought I would be upset but the rain made our day even more special.”
The reception was lovely, filled with vintage details and incredible food.
Catering/Cake: Karens Katering

“After the rain stopped it turned into a beautiful and cool evening filled with all the people we love! I married my best friend and the entire day was as perfect as I had hoped it would be!”
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Darnbush! I love you guys and Im so happy for you!
